Each day of the month is given the same 19 names, thus the year begins on the Bahá day of the Bahá month, and ends on the ‘Alá day of the ‘Alá month

Each cycle of 19 years is called a Váhid, each given a name. A cycle of 19 Váhid is a period called a Kull-i-Shay.
