THE DRUIDIC CALENDAR

The Celtic Tree Calendar has 13 moons, each ruled by a different tree.

Moons:

  1. Beth [Birch] - 28 days
  2. Luis [Rowan] - 28 days
  3. Nion [Ash] - 28 days
  4. Fearn [Alder] - 28 days
  5. Saille [Willow] - 28 days
  6. Uath [Hawthorn] - 28 days
  7. Duir [Oak] - 28 days
  8. Tinne [Holly] - 28 days
  9. Coll [Hazel] - 28 days
  10. Muin [Vine] - 28 days
  11. Gort [Ivy] - 28 days
  12. Ngetal [Reed] - 28 days
  13. Ruis [Elder] - 28 days

Followed by a day not ruled by any tree for it is the "day" of the proverbial "year and a day" in the earliest courts of law. This day is the day following the Winter Solstice.

I artificially created the leap-day by giving a 29th day to Luis, for ease of use, but have no information to confirm when or if a leap-day is calculated.

Although called moons, this is a solar, not a lunar calendar.

I've cross-referenced this calendar in my perpetual calendar with several other solar calendars.
